WELCOME!!! As many of you know, on January 15 of 2007 I embarked on a world cruise aboard Holland America's ms Amsterdam. For the next 105 days we visited some 42 exotic ports of call. Along the way, I emailed friends and family with detailed stories and re-caps of my adventures. It was a great ...and personal!...way to stay in touch with everyone. Since returning, I have forwarded these emails to many who heard about my trip. These emails have been great fun for me and hopefully for all that read them.
In preparation for my 2008 cruise....cruises! actually.....I have decided, at the suggestion of my dear friend Craig Kettles, to create this BLOG. Hopefully, I will be able to post my journal along the way. Who knows, I may even be able to add photographs.....so the fun continues!
To begin, I have decided to post all the 2007 entries. So if you have already read them, you may look for new photos...or re-visit favorite spots or "people". If you are new....I hope you will enjoy traveling with me. Your comments or return emails are always welcome.....just remember that on the ship I cannot download jokes or links...so PLEASE email me....but keep your comments to the point. WELCOME!!!!

Charles, What a wonderful idea that you have created.... but would we have expected anything but the most unique and creative blog from you??? I love the idea that we can all follow you on your next journey vicariously. I hope to see you before the new year and wish you in person the best of new adventures in 2008.We will be thinking of you as we enjoy BearVista this holiday season.Merry Christmas to you.
